All permits ordered before 7pm last night are now on their way to those waiting for them. Keys have just arrived so they will be following separately for those that ordered together👌
St Helens AA 2021 Night Card Applications
After having to abandon the previous method of issuing 2021's night card, we have now opted for a mail in application system for this year's card. The application form will need to be printed out, with all fields filled in and posted in the mail to the address on the form. You will need to provide one passport photo for your card to be processed and you will also need to sign the bottom of the form as this will be your agreement of accepting to abide by the club's rules when fishing at night, any applications that are not filled in correctly WILL NOT be processed. PLEASE FILL OUT ALL FIELDS IN ORDER FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE ACCEPTED.
Applications will be granted via email and once accepted, you will be emailed informing you of when you can make payment. This will be done via the club's website and you will need to use your name and permit number in the order notes as reference. The cards will be issued in batches of 20 and I stress that there is NO CAP ON NIGHT CARDS. Smaller batches will help us keep track of cards and ensure people aren't turning up when their card may not be there. This isn't the most ideal situation, but given the current circumstances this is about the safest way of doing it. If people have issues with things being done this way, don't complain. We're trying our best to get this done properly and any negative comments and moaning will just be deleted and slide you further down the list. Everyone that wants a card will get one, it may just take a little bit of time to get through them.
Newton tackle and Bait will be acting as a collection point, and once informed, members may go and collect their card but will need to provide this year's members permit in order to collect. Cards WILL NOT be issued unless the corresponding permit is shown. Given government guidelines on social distancing this is the most practical way of issuing and as Newton are operating a click and collect service, it would be an ideal opportunity to pick a few bits up while you're there and help a local business out at the same time 👌
PLEASE ENSURE ALL APPLICATIONS ARE SENT VIA ROYAL MAIL. ANY RANDOM LETTERBOXING WILL RESULT IN YOUR APPLICATION BEING EATEN BY THE DOG 🐶

After reports today of one of our members falling ill on Carr Mill Dam, on behalf of the club we would like to wish them a speedy recovery and thanks to all involved in helping with the situation❤️
Great stuff 👌
So today saw its winter stocking of 11 new carp into Carr Mill Dam. The fish where purchased from Simmos Super Stockies, weighing 15 – 19lb and were all mirrors. Big thanks to Christopher Owen, Andrew Henderson and Noah for the hand and we may aswell let posho put them in since he’ll only catch them all first anyway💪👌

St Helens AA Chtistmas Match
Sunday the 6th December.
After consultation with several members of the committee I have decided to follow the guidance from the Angling Trust. That basically means its up to the individual if they choose to travel between tiers knowing the guidelines attached. Its not mine or the clubs job to tell people what to do. We are in tier 2 so its not an issue to run the match and I have put extra measures in place to ensure a safe match.
I have put the section & individual monies in sealed envelopes to ensure the payouts are as risk free as possible.
The rolling draw will take place outside the Waterside between 8am and 8.45am.
You must place your £15 pools money in a sealed envelope with your name on it in the sealed bucket at the draw.
You must approach the draw area individually, where Ronnie Ranson and myself will draw your peg number. Once you have drawn you must leave the area and go to your peg.
You MUST WEAR A MASK at the draw, when being weighed in and when collecting any monies or bottles after the match.
You must not congregate in groups of over 6.
You must maintain social distancing at all times.
Fishing will be between 10am and 3pm
Pegs being used are:
4 to 37
58 to 91
110 to 160
I will be paying the top four and £40 every 5 pegs, along with bottles for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th and bottles for the top 2 in each section.
I have 72 booked on, names listed below, the entry list is now closed.
