St Helens AA – match information
Due to the current Corona virus out break and the advice issued by the Government until further notice the draw for the Saturday & Monday sweeps will take place in the lane at the arches end. The match organiser (either Ged or myself) will take the pools money from the competitors one at a time, the draw will take place at the usual times, 9am on Saturday and 10am on Mondays. At the appointed time the pegs will be "drawn out by the match organiser" in the order that the competitors have booked in.
Anglers are not to crowd around the organisers and should approach individually and should follow Government advice regarding safe distances from each other.
If any angler shows any symptoms of the virus then they should not attend the matches until they have completed their respective self isolation periods, the last thing we want is anglers passing the virus onto fellow anglers some of whom are "getting on a bit".
Whilst weighing in, anglers should not follow the scales or crowd round the anglers weighing in. Payouts will take place at a designated location announced at the draw.
It would be appreciated if anglers can have the right monies for the pools – £15 on Saturdays & £10 on Mondays
Stay safe and look out for each other.
Dave Rigby, match secretary
Just a reminder to all members that fishing is only allowed on designated platforms, no fishing from boats on all St. Helens AA waters or the use of boats for any angling activities.

Today, Andy and Roy have been over the burgy pond removing line from trees and starting to clear room on one of the pegs, adding sleepers along the front. It's going to be a slow process, given the need to finish the new swims on the roadside but it's already looking ?
There are still some signs to be added and if venturing down there, please adhere to what they say.
Norman will also be calling down to check permits and night stamps alongside Andy, Roy and Stu
Great work boys, a credit to the club ?
Some new signage now in place on the burgy pond, with some more due to arrive soon?

Today has seen a work party take place on the burgy pond. A small, dedicated few have braved the elements to clear up litter and they've only scratched the surface. Unluckily for one person, they have left their ID to let us know who they are and their details have been forwarded to the club.
There is absolutely no excuse for leaving litter anywhere on any of the club's waters, and anyone found to be littering will be dealt with by the club and face the possibility of a lengthy ban.
On a positive note, the lads have done a great job along the rail bank and into the corner peg and it looks?. They've also managed to get some new signage in and around the water, so please have a look if you're venturing down there.
As of now, Andy, Roy and Stu will be popping down to check permits. Please remember you will need a permit and this year's night stamp to fish nights on the burgy pond and junior members need to be accompanied by a night stamp holding senior.
A great effort today though ?
A quick update on the recent ground works at Carr Mill. The stonework on the drop has now been completed and is good to go. The lads have really impressed with the quality of work and it looks fantastic ?
