Entry is £20 out of which £5 will go to Willow Brook Hospice each match.
Provided each match is sold out I will pay five £50 sections and 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
Pegs to be used are 61 to 124 and as these are official matches the pegs must be kept clear by pleasure anglers or if a carp angler is night fishing on Saturday night then the peg must be vacated by 8.30am on the Sunday morning.
Entry monies of £20 in notes only (no coins will be accepted) must be placed in a sealed envelope with your name on it, this is to ensure that the monies paid out are covid free. The envelope will be placed in a container when booking in.
The draw will take place in the lane at the arches end, you will drive down the lane anytime from 8.30am, approach my car individually, place the sealed envelope containing your entry fee with your name on it in the container and I will draw your peg. Once you have your peg number you must then drive back up the lane and go and park at the nearest access point to your peg. If you wish to talk to other anglers you must maintain the 2m separation as per Government guidance, under no circumstances should you greet others with handshakes etc.
Fishing will be 10.30am to 3.30pm.
At the all out do not leave your peg unless you have packed up and are not weighing in.
If you are weighing in you must remain in your peg, when the weigher arrives you will remove your keepnet and carefully place your fish in the weigh sling and then step away beyond 2m. the weigher will weigh your fish, inform you and the booker of the agreed weight and then he will place the fish carefully back in the lake. He will then move onto the next angler allowing you to finish packing up and to go back to your vehicle.
At the end of the weighing in I will collate the results and pay out the 4 section winners and the top 3 at the top of the lane, no other anglers are to congregate at the prize giving.
Please note St Helens AA matches are 1 hook only and method feeders must be free running
You must observe the 2m social distancing at all times

Unfortunately, due to a recent influx in sales, the club have had to withdraw the sale of night fishing cards from the clubs website. If people are still interested in purchasing a night fishing card for Carr Mill Dam and The Burgy Pond, the club will look towards creating a waiting list in the coming months.

Cheers and tight lines, St Helens Angling Association ??

All outstanding licences purchased online will be posted out on Monday

Dear members

All outstanding licences purchased on line will be posted out on Monday. Please accept my apologies for the delay. As you can appreciate, due to the local tackle shops being closed, we are experiencing an increased demand in online sales, which is excellent for the association and angling overall. Don’t forget, once you have purchased your license on line, you can go fishing immediately, just have you PayPal receipt available to show the bank rangers if requested.
If you are interested in joining the association, please visit our website

Thanks again to all our members for their continued support

St Helens AA Waters will be open to anglers from 8am on Wednesday 13th May 2020….

St Helens AA Waters will be open to anglers from 8am on Wednesday 13th May 2020.

ALL anglers must follow the Government Advice in relation to social distancing at all times, the following must also be adhered to:

1. All Anglers must be in possession of a current 2020 St Helens AA permit and the relevant Environment Agency Fishing Licence. All permits and Licences must be signed and addressed before fishing on any of the club's waters (if a bailiff asks you to produce your permit, please do not offer the permit, but show the relevant pages to identify yourself instead)

2. One angler per peg, unless more than one household member is sharing, then proof of ID will be required (signed, addressed permit).

3. Anglers must not visit other anglers on their pegs (please maintain a social distance at all times).

4. Should any angler require emergency assistance for any reason from a neighbouring angler, we ask that a strict social distance is maintained in line with the government guidelines

5. All litter is removed on vacating a swim, ready for the next angler (COVID-19 can cross contaminate from general waste, please leave pegs as you would wish to find them).

6. Please be patient when club officials arrive to inspect permits (this is as strange a situation for them as it is for you).

7. No sharing of fishing tackle or other items.

8. You must carry hand sanitiser and use it before and after opening any gates, locks etc.

9. DO NOT go fishing or leave home if you are suffering from any of the symptoms of Covid 19, follow Government advice regarding isolation

10. Remember all our waters are accessible to the general public, so do not do anything contrary to the above items or the Government advice regarding Covid 19

11. St Helens AA Permits are currently only available on line via the clubs website, as we believe all fishing shops are to remain closed until at least 1st June.

Stay alert, take care and enjoy your fishing,
