ST Helens AA 3 Day Feeder Fest
May I take this opportunity to thank all anglers who took part in the first ever 3 Day Feeder Fest on Carr Mill a success. The event was well organised and we look forward to the next one scheduled in October. Overall winner was local lad David Rigby, with a perfect 3 day score, followed up by local Bream Legend Dennis Knight. Largest individual weight, and total weight over the 3 days was Gary Lambert. The bream responded well (albeit in certain areas ) over the 3 days, lets hope they stay on the feed for the foreseeable future.
Tench Arrive at the Basin
This week saw the arrival of 22 quality Tench ranging from 3 to 6lb, stocked into the Sankey Basin. Tony the association bailiff was delighted with the new additions, and personally released each one lovingly and with care. The largest specimen has been fondly named “Antonia”, only Tony knows why. This is the latest investment by St Helens AA, and hopefully, with the assistance of our members we will carry on with the continued improvements to all our association waters.
