May I take this opportunity to thank all anglers who took part in the first ever 3 Day Feeder Fest on Carr Mill a success. The event was well organised and we look forward to the next one scheduled in October. Overall winner was local lad David Rigby, with a perfect 3 day score, followed up by local Bream Legend Dennis Knight. Largest individual weight, and total weight over the 3 days was Gary Lambert. The bream responded well (albeit in certain areas ) over the 3 days, lets hope they stay on the feed for the foreseeable future.
This week saw the arrival of 22 quality Tench ranging from 3 to 6lb, stocked into the Sankey Basin. Tony the association bailiff was delighted with the new additions, and personally released each one lovingly and with care. The largest specimen has been fondly named “Antonia”, only Tony knows why. This is the latest investment by St Helens AA, and hopefully, with the assistance of our members we will carry on with the continued improvements to all our association waters.
Can all our members please ensure that when parking on the lane, they keep tight to the hedge to allow adequate room for emergency vehicles to pass if required. Please ensure that you do not park any further up the lane than our access to the Dig Pit

St Helens Angling Association has recently stocked over 2100 lb of Quality Bream into Carr Mill Dam, as part of our continuous improvement on all our waters. The fished supplied by Main Stream Fisheries where stocked in two locations around the Dam. The Dam was closed for fishing for 6 days to allow the new fish a chance to settle. A big thank you to all our members who attended on the day to assist with the stocking process.
The Canadian Geese that have nested between the fishing platforms have hatched this fine brood. Thanks to all our members fishing the Dig Pit for allowing the geese the space required
